Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sushi Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. As a Sushi Chef, you will also play a vital role in supervising kitchen operations, ensuring food safety, and inspiring team members to deliver exceptional service. Duties

Prepare and assemble sushi dishes with precision, creativity, and attention to detail, ensuring consistency and presentation excellence
Supervise food preparation activities in the sushi station, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and efficiency
Manage daily kitchen operations including ingredient inventory, ordering supplies, and ensuring freshness of seafood and other ingredients
Lead and motivate team members by providing guidance on food handling, cooking techniques, and customer service standards
Uphold strict food safety protocols, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices in compliance with health regulations
Collaborate with restaurant management to develop new menu items that reflect current trends and customer preferences
Serve as a role model for professionalism, teamwork, and hospitality within the kitchen environment

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in similar food preparation roles within the food industry or restaurant setting
Demonstrated supervising experience with team management skills that foster a positive work environment
Strong background in food handling, cooking techniques, and restaurant management principles
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices for seafood preparation and storage
Excellent leadership abilities combined with effective communication skills
Hands-on experience with food service operations in hospitality or restaurant environments
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail during busy hours
