ABOUT THE ROLE The Inventory Controller manages and oversees multi-site inventory reconciliations and valuations to ensure accurate financial reporting and valuation within a SOX / USGAAP framework. Positioned within the finance team, this role requires a CPA designation, manufacturing industry expertise, and SAP / ERP capabilities to maintain robust internal controls and drive process improvements.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
- Financial Oversight & Reconciliation: Lead and manage inventory reconciliations, physical stock counts, general ledger, and sub-ledgers.
- Standard Costing & Revaluation: Drive the periodic standard costing process and inventory revaluation routines to maintain accurate product costing.
- Internal Controls & Audit Compliance: Maintain robust internal controls over inventory, lead month-end closing activities, conduct balance sheet reviews, and support internal/external audit requirements.
- Documentation Management: Create and manage a centralized repository for inventory-related documentation (drone surveys, scale calibrations, monthly reconciliations).
- Systems Expertise (SAP): Serve as the finance subject matter expert for inventory-related SAP processes.
- Process Improvement: Continuously refine inventory tracking, valuation methodologies and stock management procedures across the manufacturing and network footprint.
- Variance Analysis & Reporting: Analyze, report, and provide actionable insights on inventory variances.
- Industry & System Requirements: Experience in a manufacturing environment along with advanced SAP skills and strong business partnering capabilities.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelors Degree
Field of Study Preferred: Accounting and Finance Degree
Additional Education Preferred: Professional accounting designation required (CPA)
Required Work Experience: 3+ years of financial management experience with increasing responsibility and complex roles
Required Technical Skills: SAP/ERP BI skills
Travel Requirements: 10%

- US GAAP / SOX experience required
- Experience in a manufacturing environment along with advanced SAP skills and strong business partnering capabilities.
- Strong ability to influence with and without authority.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
