Overnight Part-time Housekeeper at Thermea Spa Village Whitby

We have taken the spa experience and transformed it into a wellness village. Thermea Spa Village Whitby is familiar, feels like home, and allows its guests to escape the hectic pace of modern life. Our spa village is the first of its kind, with state-of-the-art installations and, at its core, buildings reminiscent of a distant past, when life was strongly connected with nature and steeped in traditions. Our spa village, a twist on traditional spa culture, combines unique experiences inspired by rituals found around the globe with a distinctively Canadian character—a peaceful hideaway for our guests not too far from home.

We have a current opening for an Overnight Housekeeper.

We are seeking a passionate Overnight Housekeeper in Whitby, Ontario to join our village.

What we need

Reporting to the Manager, Housekeeping, the Overnight Housekeeper’s responsibility is to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the facilities in accordance with the established standards and procedures to contribute to an exceptional guest experience, while using safe work methods.

You will support the elevation of our culture through the lens of our pillars: The best in wellness | The feeling of somewhere else | A trouble-free experience | In a natural state

What you’ll do

Follow established cleaning and maintenance work checklists;
Launder linen, rags, mop heads;
Clean windows, mirrors, bathrooms, showers, walls, pathways, and floors, clean and polishes furniture and fixtures;
Stock necessary supplies (towels, sheets, soap, lotion, shampoo);
Maintain cleanliness of locker rooms (dust, sweep, mop, and clean);
Ensure proper disinfecting/deep cleaning of all buildings, steam rooms, saunas, and relaxation areas;
Ensure that guest facilities are well maintained and sanitized;
Perform other related duties.

Profile needed

What is the profile needed in order to be successful in this position

High School diploma;
Minimum one (1) year experience in housekeeping;
Strong teamwork ethic;
Experience working in the tourism industry, an asset;
WHMIS certification, an asset;
Health and Hygiene training, an asset;
Good physical shape; ability to work outdoors during all months of the year (weather appropriate uniform provided), ability to reach, bend, and frequently lift up to 50lbs (23 kg).

You will work on a flexible schedule 11pm to 7:30am, weeknights, weekends, holidays.

Compensation

Hourly rate: $20.68 plus a $1.50 night premium
