The Assessment Specialist leads CBME-aligned assessment processes for residency training, analyzes data to identify trends and improvement opportunities, partners with faculty, administrators, and national bodies to align strategies with educational goals, drives quality enhancement initiatives impacting learners and training sites province-wide, and manages multiple priorities in a fast-paced, distributed educational landscape.

What you will do

Assessment Systems Leadership – Manage CBAS and one45 platforms, including user onboarding, support, training, and maintenance for faculty, residents, and administrators.

Accreditation & Program Support – Ensure compliance with accreditation standards (Red Book, Standard 9), support assessment committees, and coordinate program evaluation activities.

Data Analysis & Reporting – Collect and analyze assessment and evaluation data, prepare statistical reports and recommendations, and track rotation/academic feedback.

Clinical Evaluation Coordination – Oversee preceptor and rotation feedback, identify concerns, and escalate to program leadership.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Resources – Partner with PGME, CFPC, and national programs, maintain documentation and websites, and develop assessment resources.
Who you are
Education & Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Health Sciences, Administration, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

3–5 years of progressive experience in evaluation, research, program coordination, or medical education.
Technical & Analytical Skills
-
Direct experience with assessment/LMS platforms (one45, CBAS, or similar)—strongly preferred.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel for data management) and Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sites).

Expertise in database management, report generation, and data interpretation to drive decision-making.

Hands-on experience with data collection, analysis, and reporting (quantitative/qualitative).
Leadership & Collaboration

Proven track record supporting complex projects, committees, or programs in healthcare or academic settings.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage diverse stakeholders effectively.

Outstanding organizational and project coordination skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
