Your Role

As an Experienced Family Lawyer, you will:

Handle family law matters with confidence and empathy.
Advocate for clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
Contribute to firm development initiatives.

Responsibilities

Provide legal advice and representation to clients in various matters.
Conduct thorough research on legal issues and case law using tools such as LexisNexis.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
Prepare legal briefs, motions, and pleadings for court proceedings.
Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court hearings.
Maintain accurate records of case files and documentation.
Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to practice areas.
Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to ensure comprehensive client service.

Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
A member of Alberta Law Society, or plan to become a member.
Proven experience in legal research, writing, and drafting documents.
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
