The University of Calgary, Faculty of Nursing is seeking Sessional Nursing Instructors to teach undergraduate level courses for the Fall Term (September to December) as follows.
Successful applicants must be available for the full duration of the term. Clinical placements are citywide, and site preferences cannot be guaranteed. Teaching schedules vary and include daytime and evening shifts, Monday through Friday.
Applicants should specify which schedule option they are available to teach.

BScN Term 3: NRSG350 Care of the Aging Adult Practicum

- Clinical Monday/Tuesday (8hr, off campus, rotating days & evenings)

We are seeking applicants, particularly those with previous nursing education practice experience. Practice education occurs at clinical sites, on campus, and occasionally through online delivery.
Sessional Instructors are provided with exceptional orientation, mentorship, and ongoing professional development. The amount of remuneration is calculated according to the Collective Agreement, Schedule B. Teaching Responsibilities:

Work effectively with groups of students on-campus or in online settings
- Participate in team meetings related to the practice course and faculty governance

Participate in student assessment and evaluations
- Seek excellence in teaching by applying various teaching strategies and working with colleagues

Encourage and foster an environment of inquiry and valuing of evidence informed practice
Qualifications:
Candidates must be eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta. A Master's degree is preferred, although candidates with BN/BScN preparation will be considered.
Applied Experience:
- Current practice experience related to semester focus

Experience in clinical teaching, mentoring and supervision of students

Use of nursing process and conceptual frameworks assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation
