Pilot Truck Driver

Now Hiring: Pilot Truck Driver

Ready to join the Bowline team?

If you're looking for a driving opportunity that takes you beyond the ordinary, join our team and help move some of the biggest loads on the road safely and efficiently.

We are looking for a dependable and safety-focused Pilot Truck Driver based out of Spruce Grove or surrounding area to assist with the transportation of oversize and overweight loads throughout Canada and the United States.

As a Pilot Truck Driver, you’ll play a critical role in helping ensure the safe movement of specialized freight by providing advance warning, route awareness, and communication with the transport team and other road users.

What You’ll Do

Piloting oversize and overweight loads across Canada and the United States
Driving ahead of or behind transport vehicles to help identify potential hazards
Communicating road conditions, traffic, construction, and other hazards to the transport team
Assisting with safe navigation through intersections, cities, construction zones, and challenging routes
Working closely with transport drivers and other escort vehicles
Conducting vehicle and equipment inspections
Maintaining a professional and safety-first approach at all times
Following applicable provincial, state, and federal escort requirements

What We’re Looking For

Valid driver’s licence and clean driving record
Has a Passport and able to cross border into the US
Experience with pilot/hot shot work in Canada and the United States
Strong communication and situational-awareness skills
Reliable, safety-minded, and professional
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and extended trips when required
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
