Job Description

Dalco Services is a leading industrial coating contractor with business throughout Western Canada.

We are currently recruiting an Shop Sandblaster to support our sandblasting and coating shop operations in Red Deer, Alberta. This is an approximately 3 month temporary position based at our shop in Red Deer for work on a tank project. Shift is a modified work week working Monday to Thursday 10 hour days.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

Special focus on safety of themselves and others in their work area
Understanding of surface preparation requirements for protective coating systems and application
Understanding of industry standards (SSPC, NACE, OH&S), and ability to perform
Able to troubleshoot and maintain blasting equipment.
Ability to follow complex instruction and attention to detail are required.

Minimum Requirements

Industrial abrasive blasting experience required.
Knowledge of maintenance and operation of abrasive blasting and related equipment.
Willing to learn and take direction – Safety, Quality & Team Orientated.
Ability to work at our Red Deer shop daily (day shift).
Highly organized, able to prioritize project requirements and schedules.

Qualifications

1+ years abrasive blasting (sandblasting) in an industrial setting.
Punctual, engaged, good communication skills & fit for duty always.
Confined Space and CSTS required.
Tank blasting experience is an asset.

Shop Location: Red Deer, Alberta

Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 7:00AM start time.

Typical Hours: 40 Hours / Week

Overtime on as needed basis

Pay: $29.49-$39.31 per hour
