Full job description

We are a busy and growing plumbing and heating company looking for a highly organized, customer-focused Dispatcher to join our team. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy solving problems, and take pride in keeping operations running efficiently, we'd love to hear from you.

As the Dispatcher, you will be the communication hub between our customers, technicians, suppliers, and office staff. Every day brings new challenges, making this an ideal role for someone who can multitask, stay organized, and deliver exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

Schedule and dispatch plumbing and HVAC service technicians.
Coordinate emergency and priority service calls.
Communicate with customers regarding appointments, scheduling updates, and service information.
Monitor technician schedules and adjust workloads throughout the day as priorities change.
Prepare work orders and ensure technicians have the information needed to complete their jobs.
Follow up on outstanding work orders and customer requests.
Coordinate with suppliers regarding materials and deliveries.
Assist with invoicing, administrative duties, and maintaining accurate records.
Work closely with the management team to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

Previous dispatching experience is an asset.
Experience in the plumbing, HVAC, construction, or service industry is preferred but not required.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment.
Comfortable using computers and learning dispatching software.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
