Full job description

This posting is for multiple hourly positions working at Millenium Place, working a minimum of 10 hours or 2 shifts per week.
Shift hours range from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

As a Recreation Attendant you will interact with guests to provide high-quality customer service, complete ongoing facility maintenance, and ensure a safe and clean environment.

Reporting to the Events and Booking Specialist, your responsibilities will focus on our rental clients to assist with preparations, checking attendee’s in/out, and ensuring their rental needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise facility guests, monitor equipment and building conditions to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience
Address patron concerns in a positive and polite manner
Greet clients attending for rental opportunities, provide assistance with inquiries, and have the rental space cleaned and prepared
Complete assigned daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance of facility and grounds to meet or exceed provincial health and safety standards
Perform assigned duties to support facility needs and other facility staff including receiving and storing deliveries, snow removal, equipment setup, special event setup, and exterior clean up
Perform manual tasks such as lifting, cleaning, and disinfecting to ensure a safe and clean environment

Qualifications and Skills:

Completion of High School Diploma with previous experience in a high-paced, guest service-oriented position is an asset
Daytime availability is an asset
Availability for evening, weekend, and statutory holiday shifts
Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification is required
Ability to perform physical tasks such as room set-up/take down and cleaning
Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to interact with facility guests in a positive manner
Skill and ability to perform in stressful situations like building emergencies, medical/first aid emergencies
Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Conditions of Employment:

Submission of Satisfactory Criminal Record Check
Ability to perform physical tasks such as cleaning, and room set-up/takedown
