Full job description

National Nutrition is looking for an organized, reliable, and detail-oriented Office Manager to join our team in Barrie.

This role will focus primarily on accounts payable using QuickBooks, along with personnel-related tasks, office administration, and the supervision of a junior administrative assistant. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a busy office environment, handling confidential information, supporting staff, and ensuring daily office operations run smoothly.

Responsibilities

Manage accounts payable functions using QuickBooks
Enter, review, and process vendor invoices
Reconcile statements and follow up on billing discrepancies
Maintain accurate financial and administrative records
Assist with personnel-related tasks, including employee files, onboarding paperwork, and general HR administration
Support payroll-related documentation and internal recordkeeping
Supervise and support a junior administrative assistant
Delegate administrative tasks and help ensure deadlines are met
Provide guidance, training, and feedback to administrative support staff
Communicate with vendors, staff, and management as needed
Organize office procedures and help ensure smooth daily operations
Maintain confidentiality of financial and personnel information
Assist with other administrative duties as required

Qualifications

Experience with QuickBooks is required
Previous accounts payable or bookkeeping experience preferred
Office administration or office management experience preferred
Previous supervisory or team lead experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Comfortable handling confidential information
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, and general computer systems
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
