Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Laborer to join our team and assist with a variety of outdoor landscaping projects. This role involves working on residential and commercial properties to maintain and enhance outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gardening, horticulture, and landscape maintenance, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in lawn maintenance and landscaping.

This position offers potential growth within the position. This position is to grow with the family owned business. We do provide snow removal services in the Winter season.

Responsibilities

Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, and mulching
Operate hand tools, power tools, and small machinery such as lawn mowers & weed whackers for lawn maintenance
Conduct gardening activities such as planting, pruning, and fertilizing
Perform general site cleanup and ensure work areas are safe and organized
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to client specifications

Qualifications

Prior experience with landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is required
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic landscaping/lawn maintenance techniques
Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform manual labor in outdoor conditions for extended periods
Ability to follow safety protocols and work effectively as part of a team
Ability to drive to work location in Caledonia / Hamilton Upper James St.
Ability to utilize weed whacker
Ability to lift 40 lbs +

This position is ideal for individuals passionate about outdoor work who want to grow their skills in landscape maintenance, horticulture, and construction-related tasks.

Pay: From $21.50 per hour
