SECONDARY OFFICE ASSISTANT

1.0 FTE Permanent Full-time (35 hours/week)

The Secondary Office Assistant provides administrative support to the school. Assist administration, teaching staff, students and guardians on a daily basis, in the areas of reception, attendance and guidance.

School: Innisdale SS

Principal: Julie Rennison

Schedule: Full-time 35 hours/week

Qualifications:

Required: Grade 12 diploma. Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Ability to work as a team member. Strong organizational and secretarial skills. MS Word skills at the Intermediate level. Advanced word-processing skills. Proficient in Excel. Proficient in PowerSchool and the reports generated within. Basic knowledge of Google Drive and associated applications (docs, sheets, slides)

Preferred: Knowledge of JDE, SchoolCash.net, EasyConnect and secondary school attendance procedures. Experience with MS Publisher and Advanced Excel. Secondary office experience including skills in guidance, student registration, working knowledge of OSR, Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA) and Basic First Aid would be an asset.

Participation in the OMERS Pension Plan is mandatory for all full-time permanent employees, even if currently in receipt of an OMERS pension.
