Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Plumbing Apprentice to join our team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in plumbing systems, construction, and maintenance. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, possess a strong work ethic, and have an interest in developing technical skills within the plumbing and construction industry. As a Plumbing Apprentice, you will work under the supervision of experienced plumbers to gain practical knowledge and contribute to various projects involving installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

Assist licensed plumbers with installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings
Learn to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to plumbing projects
Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for cutting, fitting, and assembling pipes and fixtures
Support the setup and cleanup of job sites to ensure safety and efficiency
Participate in measuring, cutting, threading, and assembling pipes according to project specifications
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment at all times
Gain knowledge of building codes, regulations, and best practices related to plumbing installations
Perform routine maintenance tasks as directed by supervisors

Experience

Prior experience or familiarity with mechanical knowledge, carpentry, HVAC systems, or construction is a plus but not required
Basic understanding of hand tools, power tools, blueprint reading, basic math skills, schematics interpretation, welding techniques, assembly processes, and maintenance procedures is advantageous
Willingness to learn new skills on the job with guidance from experienced professionals
Strong work ethic with a focus on safety and quality workmanship
