Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate RECE (Registered Early Childhood Educator) - Daycare Worker to join our team. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs, and fostering a positive learning atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, particularly in early childhood education settings, and possess a genuine passion for caregiving and teaching.

Responsibilities

Supervise and interact with children in a daycare setting, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
Support children with special needs or disabilities, adapting activities to meet individual requirements
Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning and play
Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and daily activities
Follow all licensing regulations and safety protocols to ensure compliance and safety standards are met
Collaborate with team members to create a positive, inclusive atmosphere for both children and staff

Professional Qualifications

Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (required)
Valid Standard First Aid & CPR - LEVEL C (required)
Current Immunizations (required)
Two Step Tuberculosis Screening (required)
Valid Vulnerable Sector Screening (required)
Familiar with How Does Learning Happen and ELECT Documents (required)
Minimum 2 years of experience in a childcare-specific or related setting (required)
Food Handlers Certificate (preferred)

Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
