Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Panel Department Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role involves operating and maintaining various production equipment, ensuring quality standards, and supporting the assembly process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining, mechanical knowledge, and manufacturing processes, with proficiency in CNC programming and blueprint reading. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on precision and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Insulation Cutting: Measure, mark, and cut insulation (rockwool) to exact specifications using hand tools or cutting machinery.
Panel Assembly & Installation: Fit and securely place the cut insulation inside the metal or composite back panels of the units, ensuring a tight, seamless fit with no gaps.
Material Handling & Prep: Move raw materials, panels, and insulation stock to and from the workstation. Ensure the assembly area stays consistently supplied.
Quality Control: Inspect finished back panels to ensure the insulation is correctly aligned, undamaged, and meets company quality standards before the panels move to the next stage of production.
Tool & Equipment Maintenance: Safely operate and maintain basic hand tools, knives, tape measures, and assembly equipment. Report any equipment faults immediately.
Safety & Workplace Cleanliness: Strictly follow all workplace safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for handling insulation. Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workstation.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or construction environment is preferred, but on-the-job training will be provided.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for the duration of the shift.

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
