Position Summary:
The position has both administrative and technical responsibilities.
Manages all aspects of the OPDL team, including games, training sessions, team & parent meetings, off field activities, player assessments, full season planning and implementation. Act as a staff coach and provide coverage elsewhere with the club when required.
Responsibilities:
· In alignment with the Ontario Soccer Long-Term Player Development Plan, develop and execute age appropriate training sessions that includes 3 training sessions (Jan – October) per week and 1 game per week (May – October)
· Attend OPDL meetings and PSC events as required
· Promote and support the Aurora FC training model and philosophy
· Create & implement a yearly periodized plan that is aligned with the club’s game model
· Select players suitable for the program in consultation with Academy & Technical Director
· Ensure sessions are conducted in a safe environment with appropriate equipment and supervision
· Act as a mentor towards your Assistant Coach
· Conduct game analysis for review with players
· Agree to adhere to OPDL rules including, but not limited to: OPDL Technical Manual, OPDL Operations Manual, OPDL Code of Conduct
· Follow all OPDL Game Day procedures, including completion of game sheets, players substitutions and any other procedures required by the OPDL and/or the Aurora FC.
· Complete 2 player rubrics for each player and include at least 1 in person player meeting
· Help manage aspects such as the implementation of Mental Training, Player Monitoring and Video Feedback, as requested by the Head Coach
Requirements:
· Strong management and Leadership skills
· Minimum National B License, Canada Youth or equivalent USSF/UEFA
· Previous coaching experience
· Experience working with competitive/ high performance players
· Valid driver’s license and accessibility to a vehicle
· CRB Police Check (Police Vulnerable Sector Check)
· Eligible to work in Canada
Pay: $40.00-$60.00 per hour
