Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Shuttle Bus Driver (ON CALL) to safely transport passengers within our community. This role requires flexibility, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to operate a vehicle in various conditions. The ideal candidate will have experience working with diverse populations, including children and seniors, and possess strong communication skills. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to community mobility while maintaining a flexible schedule.

Duties

Safely operate shuttle buses to transport passengers to designated locations within the community or campus.
Ensure passenger safety by adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
Assist passengers, including children and seniors, with boarding and disembarking as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and basic mechanical checks of the vehicle before and after shifts.
Communicate effectively with passengers, providing information or assistance as required.
Keep accurate records of trips, passenger counts, and any incidents or concerns during transportation.
Follow all company policies and procedures related to driving, safety, and customer service.

Requirements

Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with passenger endorsement preferred.
Experience working with children, seniors, or individuals with special needs is highly desirable.
Multilingual abilities such as Bilingual in Spanish, Polish and English are a plus.
Strong communication skills for interacting with diverse passenger groups.
Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting is beneficial.
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Ability to work flexible hours on an on-call basis, including evenings and weekends if needed.
Prior experience in teaching, writing skills, or caregiving roles is advantageous but not required.

This position plays a vital role in ensuring safe, reliable transportation for our community members while offering flexible scheduling options suited for various lifestyles.

Pay: $225.00 per day
