Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Kitchen Supervisor to oversee daily kitchen operations in a dynamic food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality food preparation and presentation. The Kitchen Supervisor will play a vital role in fostering a positive team atmosphere and ensuring efficient restaurant management.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including cooks, servers, and other team members
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area
Train new staff on food safety practices, restaurant procedures, and customer service standards
Monitor kitchen operations to optimize efficiency and reduce waste
Assist with food service during peak hours and ensure timely delivery of orders
Enforce health and safety policies to maintain a safe working environment for all staff
Collaborate with restaurant management to develop menus and improve service quality

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant management
Supervising experience within the food industry or hospitality sector
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Experience with serving in a restaurant setting, including barista experience is a plus
Effective communication skills to coordinate with staff and management
Familiarity with restaurant operations, including inventory management and food industry standards
