About the Role
We are looking for an ambitious and motivated recent graduate to join our marketing team as a Marketing Assistant.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a wide range of marketing activities, including digital marketing, content creation, events, sponsorships, business development, referral marketing, website management, and emerging AI search strategies. Working closely with experienced marketing and business development professionals, you will support initiatives that help drive the firm's growth and visibility while building a strong foundation for a career in marketing.
This role is ideal for someone who is organized, curious, eager to learn, and excited by the opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced and growing department.
Compensation
Starting at $25 per hour based on a 35-hour work week, with regular performance reviews and opportunities for increases as you grow in the role.
What You’ll Be Doing
Marketing & Event Support
- Assist with marketing campaigns, sponsorships, community initiatives, and business development activities
- Support the planning and execution of marketing events, conferences, sponsorship activations, and outreach initiatives
- Help prepare marketing materials and coordinate event logistics
- Attend industry events, conferences, networking receptions, sponsorship activations, and golf tournaments to support the marketing team and represent the firm
- Assist with exhibitor booths, event set-up, attendee engagement, and on-site coordination
- Travel occasionally within Ontario for events and conferences (all approved travel expenses covered)
Digital Marketing Support
- Assist with website updates and directory listings
- Support social media scheduling, blog uploads, and digital content updates
- Conduct research to support marketing campaigns, content initiatives, and business development activities
- Assist with digital marketing initiatives, including SEO, Google Ads, and online visibility projects
- Support the firm's efforts to improve visibility across search engines and emerging AI-powered search platforms
- Gain exposure to lead generation, referral marketing, and business development activities
Organization & Coordination
- Help maintain marketing calendars, project timelines, and internal trackers
- Assist in organizing marketing materials, digital assets, and documents
- Support the team by helping keep projects organized and moving forward
Day in the life
No two days are the same. One day you may be helping coordinate a sponsorship activation or industry event, while the next you may be supporting digital marketing initiatives, website updates, content development, or business development activities. Throughout it all, you will gain exposure to the strategies and initiatives that contribute directly to the growth and success of one of Ontario's leading personal injury law firms.
What We are Looking For
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Reliable, proactive, and able to manage tasks with guidance
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Interest in marketing, events, or business development
Assets (not required):
- Experience with social media platforms or basic digital tools
- Familiarity with content creation (e.g., Canva, blog writing, etc.)
- Interest in or understanding of sports
Other Requirements:
A valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle
