Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a commitment to excellence in food preparation and service. As a key member of our kitchen management, the Sous Chef will support the head chef in maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency while supervising kitchen staff. This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone with restaurant management experience and a dedication to hospitality excellence to contribute to a thriving culinary environment.

Duties

Assist in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to safety standards
Supervise and coordinate food preparation activities, maintaining high-quality presentation and taste
Lead and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster teamwork and professional growth
Ensure all food handling procedures comply with food safety regulations and best practices
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, maintaining consistency
Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and manage stock rotation
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in accordance with health codes
Support restaurant management in implementing operational policies and customer service standards
Serve as a role model in hospitality, demonstrating excellent service skills and professionalism

Requirements

Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or food service environment
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling techniques
Extensive restaurant experience with a solid understanding of kitchen operations
Leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively under pressure
Knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation standards
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
Experience in restaurant management or hospitality industry preferred
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
Passion for culinary arts with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction

Pay: $45,000.00-$63,000.00 per year
