We are a fast growing Delivery/Moving Company servicing Simcoe County and the GTA. We are currently seeking delivery drivers and lead hand movers within the Barrie area. Some of our services include:
1. Delivering furniture/appliances across Simcoe for our clients in a safe and timely manner.
2. Residential and Commercial Moving
3. Working directly with Designers to provide partial/full installations and staging of Furniture.
4. Lumper Services- offloading inbound containers full of furniture
5. Junk Removal
Your key responsibilities as a Driver or Crew Lead would include:
1. Arriving to work on time wearing the company uniform.
2. Know how to operate 20-22 Ft Straight Trucks, Cube Vans and occasionally 26 Ft.
3. Be responsible for the truck and ensure all safety requirement of the truck (safety inspections) and road are followed at all times.
4. Provide high quality customer service. Must be professional, courteous, and pragmatic. Providing only solutions to our customers not problems.
5. Complete pre and post inspections of company vehicles and safely operate equipment.
6. Load furniture/appliances and safely deliver in home and provide basic setup where needed for our delivery contracts.
7. Must be able to team lift up to 250 pound furniture.
8. Completing deliveries and residential moves in a safe and timely manner.
9. Must be knowledgeable when it comes to packing a truck, packing or wrapping customers belongings and strapping down when necessary.
10. Handle all inquiries from customers in a professional manner. Strong communication skills is required.
11. Document all moves, deliveries, additional services, and payments received from customers on a daily basis.
12. 1 Day Weekend availability is mandatory (Paid in Cash)
Basic Qualifications:
1. Must have a G License (Must For Drive/Lead Hand Position)
2. Read, write and speak English fluently
3. Experience with moving furniture/appliances.
4. Must have no criminal record and clean drivers abstract. A background check will be performed.
5. Must provide references and have minimum 2 years full time experience for Lead hand position
Your rate of pay is determined by your knowledge and experience with Moving and Deliveries. During your employment you will have opportunities to learn new skills, gain knowledge and to take on new responsibility.
Crew Lead: This position requires at least 2 years of full-time experience.
Driver: This position requires 1 year of full time experience.
Helpers: Pay rate ranges from $20-$22 per hour to start. Rate will depend on experience, knowledge, and responsibilities. 0-1 year experience preferred.
