The role:
We are adding a meticulous and efficient Inventory Control Specialist in Barrie, ON. This posting is for an existing vacancy. We need a strong communicator and a roll-up-your-sleeves team player who shares our passion for enriching the lives of the clients we work with. We need a self-directed learner who is results-oriented and driven to complete their deliverables promptly; someone who is genuinely curious about our industry and willing to put in the time and research to learn more.
**This is a full-time 18-month contract role**

How you will spend your days:

Inventory Management. Every mobility device we process is custom to our clients, as a result, we rely on our warehouse workers to play an integral role in keeping our operations running smoothly. You will use Navision to track inventory movement. You will be responsible for maintaining inventory levels for key equipment, parts, and materials. You will coordinate with vendors to ensure stock levels remain consistent and orders are picked correctly.

Cycle Counts. Weekly and annual counts are done to ensure inventory accuracy and integrity. You will work with Finance and Management to ensure that our inventory records are counted correctly.

Order Processing. You liaise with the Service and Sales Coordinators to ensure accuracy of order details and ensure items are staged correctly for delivery.

Process Mobility Devices and Equipment. You will act as the gatekeeper for all our inventory and physical assets stored in the warehouse, ensuring proper storage, cleaning, and packing as items enter or exit the dock. You will store, organize, and manage our inventory. You will tag, price, store and organize all mobility devices, parts and tools within the warehouse. This may require assisting to build or clean mobility devices such as wheelchairs, elevating equipment and power scooters.

Education and Experience. You have a college diploma and, ideally, have 3 years of relevant experience in an inventory handling or data analysis. You can work in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple projects simultaneously. You have an aptitude for hands-on, mechanical work. You can work on your own with little supervision.

Communication Skills. You can clearly and concisely communicate in person, over the phone, email, or on paper. You are empathetic and can provide outstanding customer service to any visitors or vendors who may be entering the warehouse.

Additional Must Have Requirements. You can lift up to fifty (50) pounds in order to move equipment and devices. You have a clean criminal background check and are bondable. You also have a valid Class 5 driver’s license.

The Nice to Haves. Bonus points if you have experience using Outlook and Navision in a warehouse setting. Having a forklift certification is also considered an asset.
