Full job description

Join our dynamic legal team as an Experience Litigation Legal Assistant / Law Clerk and play a crucial role in supporting our Litigation Team. You must have at least 2 years experience in Ontario.

As a Legal Assistant / Law Clerk, you will assist lawyers in various legal tasks, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow within the firm.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and other correspondence. Ensuring all deadlines and limitations are diarized and met.
- Maintain organized case files and documentation for easy retrieval
- Handle phone calls with professionalism and excellent phone etiquette
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and data entry
- Proof read legal documents for accuracy and completeness
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and court dates
- Assist in interviewing clients and witnesses for case preparation
- Utilize software for document management
- Provide administrative support to lawyers as needed

Experience:
- Proven experience in legal drafting and research
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Proficiency in data entry and clerical tasks
- Ability to proofread legal documents accurately
- Familiarity with administrative tasks within a legal setting
- Experience using ACL and Soluno is a plus
