Full job description

Position Summary: The successful candidate will be able to provide accounting and taxation services to our small and medium sized clients. The ideal candidate will be flexible, reliable and be able to communicate with clients on regular basis. The job will require the candidate to work independently and within a team environment. Extended working hours from February through to April is expected.

Key Responsibilities: Preparation of Notice to Reader files and financial statements, Preparation of corporate tax and personal tax returns, Account reconciliations, Preparation of external filings such as HST, T4, and T5 returns.

Background/Qualifications: **Strong computer skills. Must have working knowledge various software programs: Caseware, Excel, Microsoft Office, Quickbooks, Simply and personal and corporate tax software. Knowledge of accounting principles. Knowledge of basic to intermediate tax principles is required. 5-10 years previous experience in a public accounting office preparing complete year end files including corporation tax returns is required. Able to prioritize with the flexibility to manage various workload demands. Post secondary education in accounting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
