Position Summary
The Manager, Marketing & Events plays a critical role in bringing RVH Foundation’s story to life through campaigns, events, and community engagement. Working closely with the Director, Marketing & Donor Experience, this role leads the planning and execution of integrated marketing initiatives and a high-performing events portfolio that inspire giving, deepen community connection, and support revenue growth.
This role is responsible for delivering campaigns, content, and event experiences that are well-executed, on brand, and results-driven. The Manager oversees the day-to-day performance of marketing and events, ensuring alignment across channels and a consistent, compelling presence in the community.
The Manager also leads the Foundation’s events portfolio, including signature and third-party events, with accountability for revenue generation, sponsor engagement, and volunteer committee effectiveness. This includes identifying and growing sponsorship opportunities, strengthening community partnerships, and ensuring events are resourced and executed to a high standard.
As a people leader, the Manager supports and develops a team across marketing and events, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. They bring strong organizational discipline, creativity, and relationship-building skills to ensure every campaign and event contributes meaningfully to RVH Foundation’s goals.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Execution & Campaign Delivery
- Lead the execution of integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels, ensuring alignment with campaign priorities, brand standards, and revenue goals
- Manage the Foundation’s direct marketing program, including campaign planning, testing, creative development, and performance optimization to drive acquisition, retention, and conversion
- Execute digital marketing initiatives across email, social, web, and paid media, integrating with offline channels including print, OOH, and broadcast
- Partner with the Director and internal teams to develop compelling, on-brand content and messaging across all owned channels
- Collaborate with Development to design and deliver solicitation materials for annual, mid-level, and major giving programs, including capital campaign initiatives
- Manage external agency and vendor relationships to ensure high-quality, on-time, and on-budget delivery of marketing initiatives
Events Execution & Revenue Generation
- Lead the planning and execution of RVH Foundation’s events portfolio, including signature and third-party events (Partners in Caring), ensuring strong revenue performance and community engagement
- Monitor and optimize third-party event activity, identifying opportunities for growth while balancing team capacity and priorities
- Lead event sponsorship strategy and execution, including prospecting, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of sponsors in collaboration with internal teams and volunteers
- Oversee the development and execution of event marketing and promotions in partnership with internal team members
- Supervise the recruitment, engagement, and performance of volunteer event committees to support sponsorship, ticket sales, auctions, and overall event success
- Ensure all events are delivered to a high standard, aligned with brand expectations, and contribute meaningfully to donor experience and revenue goals
Planning, Budgeting & Performance
- Contribute to the development of annual marketing and events plans and budgets, providing input, insights, and recommendations to support Director-led strategy and revenue targets
- Track and report on campaign and event performance, using data and insights to optimize results and inform ongoing execution
- Monitor expenses and ensure efficient use of resources across marketing and events initiatives
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, improve performance, and support decision-making
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Team Leadership
- Work closely with Donor Experience, Development, and Campaign Infrastructure teams to ensure alignment across donor journeys and integrated program delivery
- Support the Director in translating strategy into clear priorities, timelines, and deliverables for the marketing and events team
- Lead and develop direct reports, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly, with strong project management and clear communication across stakeholders
Experience
- 5–10 years of progressive experience in marketing and/or fundraising, with demonstrated success delivering revenue-generating campaigns and initiatives
- Strong understanding of fundraising principles, including donor acquisition, retention, and stewardship across multiple channels
- Proven ability to manage complex marketing and events programs end-to-end, from strategy through execution, measurement, and optimization
- Advanced experience in digital and direct marketing, including segmentation, testing, and performance analysis
- Demonstrated ability to translate data and insights into clear, actionable recommendations
- Experience managing budgets, forecasting performance, and adjusting plans to meet targets
- Strong understanding of the creative development process, including briefing, concept evaluation, and production
- Experience working with CRM/database systems to inform targeting, tracking, and reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
