Graphic Designer/Social Media (Contract Position)

Work Arrangement & Location:
- Contract Term: This is a contract position with the potential to extend.
- Start/End Dates: Position starts May 2026 to September 30th, 2026.
- Location: We are a rural business located between Woodstock and Ingersoll, about a 10–15-minute drive in either direction.
- Hybrid Work Schedule: The standard schedule is one-two days per week in office to meet with the team, get directions, and handle materials.
- Onboarding: The first week will require 2-3 days in office for essential training and onboarding.
- Equipment: The successful candidate will be required to use their own computer/device (Bring Your Own Device - BYOD) for this contract position. A hard drive will be provided, along with materials.
What You'll Do:
As our Brand & Marketing Content Designer, you'll work closely with our sales and marketing teams to create, refine, and deploy a variety of visual assets. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing digital and print marketing materials (e.g., social media graphics, website banners, advertisements, brochures).
- Developing engaging content for our social media channels to increase brand awareness and engagement.
- Adapting and optimizing visual content for use in AI-driven marketing tools and platforms (e.g., banner variants for automated ad platforms, creative testing).
- Assisting with updates and refinements to product packaging and label designs.
- Preparing files for print and digital deployment, ensuring all assets meet technical specifications.
- Collaborating on various campaigns and product launches.
- Product packaging and re-designs
What You Bring:
- Proven experience in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Digital Media, or a related field (or an excellent portfolio demonstrating equivalent skill).
- A strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, a keen eye for detail, and proficiency in various design styles.
- Expert proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign is a must).
- Strong attention to product and lifestyle photography, including photo editing and retouching skills, is a major asset.
- Familiarity with web design principles (UX/UI knowledge is an asset).
- Understanding of current social media platform requirements and best practices for visual content.
- An interest in the intersection of design and emerging marketing technologies, specifically AI marketing tools.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- A proactive attitude and a strong desire to learn and contribute to a team environment.
