Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead our culinary team and deliver exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food preparation, and extensive knowledge of food safety standards. This role involves overseeing daily kitchen operations, managing food service, and ensuring high-quality food presentation. The Chef will play a vital role in maintaining our restaurant’s reputation for excellence and fostering a positive team environment.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and quality standards
Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and food prep personnel, ensuring efficient workflow
Oversee food handling procedures to maintain safety and hygiene compliance
Manage food inventory, order supplies, and control waste to optimize kitchen operations
Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner while maintaining presentation standards
Lead by example in practicing food safety protocols and proper sanitation practices
Collaborate with restaurant management to develop menus that meet customer preferences and dietary requirements
Serve as a mentor to team members, providing training on cooking techniques and hospitality standards
Monitor kitchen equipment maintenance and coordinate repairs as needed

Experience

Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or food service environment
Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within the food industry
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
Strong knowledge of restaurant management principles, including inventory control and customer service
Experience in hospitality settings with an emphasis on food safety regulations and standards
Familiarity with serving procedures and maintaining high levels of cleanliness and sanitation
Prior restaurant experience is preferred, along with a solid understanding of kitchen operations and culinary techniques
