Location: CavernUs | 137 8th Ave SW, Suite 100, Calgary, AB T2P 1B4

Reports To: Ownership + Indirectly (Operatons Manager)

Base Compensation: $50,000 / yr (based on a 40 hours work week)

Additional Compensation: Multi-level Sales Incentive Programs (see below)

I. Executive Summary

As the Meeting & Event Sales, Planning & Operations Manager at CavernUs, you are more than a coordinator; you are a key business driver of our overall meeting & events program and its profitability to our overall business. Working in direct partnership with Ownership and the Operations Manager, you will oversee the full sales lifecycle of all our in-house meetings & events program. This role is designed for a high-performer who has direct event selling, planning and operational execution experience who wants to drive a new business segment and earn both a attractive base salary along with a commission & performance-based sales incentive program.

II. Total Compensation & Incentives

We believe in rewarding the effort required to fill our room and exceed guest expectations.

Competitive Base: Earn a fulltime base salary (40 hour work week) that reflects your direct event selling, planning and operational execution experience and leadership.

Commission/Incentive Program:

New Business: Sourcing and securing new corporate or private bookings
Re-bookings: Securing additional multi-event contracts with returning clients/members
New Members: Commission based program focused on converting guests into one of our locker membership programs (various reward tiers)
Achievement of Performance Targets (Annual Meeting & Event Sales Business) - multi-tiered commission and sales performance incentive program

Professional Development Support - CavernUs provides financial assistance in support of your desire to enrich your wine & spirits knowledge or professional skills (relevant certifications (e.g., WSET) or specialized workshops (ie. computer/software training, leadershp, time management, project planning) to elevate your expertise and provide direct benefit in your role here at CavernUs. Reimbursement will be provided upon pre-approval of training program/course and one's successful completion.

MEETING & EVENT SALES, PLANNING & OPERATIONS MANAGER

III. Strategic Partnership

You will be an integral part of the CavernUs Leadership Team

Direct Access: Weekly strategy and business review sessions with Ownership to review the sales performance & sales pipeline projectcions along with operational successes and challenges within the Meetings & Events business portfolio.
Operational Influence: Collaborate with the Operations Manager to optimize overall business performance, event planning and venue workflows, staffing levels & requirements all directed at achieving our "GOLD STANDARD CAVERNUS EXPERIENCE".
Resource Support: CavernUs provides key tools for success (laptop, banquet/event & CRM software, planning & tracking templates, skills and product training programs, etc.) and a historic, high-end environment to work in. You provide the leadership, the vision, the selling, event planning and operations skillset to drive execution and success.

IV. Core Responsibilities

The Sales Pipeline: Build sales prospect pipeline (from members and exteral sources) to mine opportunities while managing all inquiries from initial "hello" to the final contract, ensuring a high conversion rate and a strong meeting & events schedule.
The Guest Journey: Design bespoke event floor plans and meeting or event itineraries within our unique cavern space focused on customer excellence.
On-Site Leadership: Showing, communicating, leading & directing CavernUs staff and our vendors during live functions to ensure a seamless "GOLD STANDARD CAVERNUS EXPERIENCE" for the customer.
Administration/Management: Managing the event calendar, all tracking reports, budget templates, customer invoicing and billings, vendor bill payments to completion while maintaining clear communication logs for Ownership, the Operations Manager and with the customer.

V. Start Date: TBC (Target September 2026)

Pay: $50,000.00 per year
