Facilities Care Team Member (Part-Time – 24 Hours/Week)

The Opportunity:
Join our team as a Facilities Care Team Member, where you will play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. This part-time position (24 hours per week) involves routine cleaning of offices, lunchrooms, washrooms, and general building areas to support our team’s productivity and well-being.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and wash floors in office and plant areas.
- Clean and sanitize lunchrooms, tables, chairs, and kitchen appliances.
- Empty and dispose of trash and recycling bins.
- Clean and restock washrooms with paper products and soap.
- Wipe down surfaces, desks, and high-touch areas regularly.
- Wash windows, glass partitions, and doors as required.
- Notify Team Lead of any maintenance needs, safety hazards, or supply shortages.
- Follow all company health, safety, and WHMIS regulations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous cleaning or janitorial experience is an asset but not required.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 25 pounds and performing repetitive cleaning tasks.
- Knowledge of safe cleaning practices and the proper use of cleaning chemicals (training provided).
- Good communication skills in English, both written and oral.
Hours of Work:
- Part-time schedule: 24 hours per week (schedule to be determined).
