Full job description

Are you a detail-oriented and organized professional with experience in bookkeeping and administrative support? JMA Technology Solutions is seeking a Bookkeeper to join our team.

This is primarily a remote position based in Nova Scotia (Truro and surrounding area preferred), offering 30–40 hours per week with a flexible schedule based on workload. The role is primarily focused on bookkeeping and financial administration, with some administrative support as needed to assist day-to-day operations.

Position Details :

Title: Bookkeeper & Office Administrator

Work Hours: 30–40 hours per week (flexible schedule based on workload)

Location: Remote / Work from Home (must reside in Nova Scotia – Truro and surrounding area preferred)

Start Date: As soon as possible

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks
Reconcile bank and credit card transactions
Prepare and send invoices; monitor accounts receivable
Record and categorize expenses
Assist with payroll processing and reporting
Track and organize receipts and supplier invoices
Provide administrative support such as document preparation, basic coordination, and occasional phone coverage
Assist with ordering materials and supplies as required
Provide support with scheduling, quoting, and client follow-ups as needed

Qualifications:

Experience with QuickBooks (preferred)
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Previous experience in a bookkeeping or administrative role (2+ years preferred)
Comfortable working in a small business environment
Reliable internet connection and home office setup
