Full job description

We are a private family owned industry leader in senior living and looking for a strong hospitality and care-oriented person to direct the day to day functions of our residence and be a positive team leader to our staff.

Strong background in retirement home management and customer service is what we are seeking to set us apart from the rest.

Essential Duties: ·

Assumes the administrative authority, responsibility and accountability of directing the day to day functions of the residence
Hire, coach and develop a team of dedicated managers and employees who provide consistent high standards of service and resident care
Understanding of all current Ontario Ministry of Labour regulations and payroll requirements
Payroll co-ordination and administration
Ensures Staff training & On-boarding requirements are met consistently·
Holds monthly communication meetings with employees and residents·
Represents the community in dealings with outside agencies, including RHRA as required·
Provides written and oral reports/recommendations as required
Responsible for ensuring established policies and procedures are being implemented and followed ·
Responsible for overseeing overall budgets for each department in the residence·
Responsible for maintaining high 5-star hospitality standards in all departments·
Maintains a positive environment for staff and residents and contributes positivity to the community’s corporate culture – lead, educate and motivate·
Establishes ongoing liaison with families and residents
Participates in various programming events and staff functions·
Participates in and monitors marketing and sales initiatives
Consistently achieving sales, operational, financial goals

Qualifications:

A degree in business administration or a health-related degree is preferred. Must have a minimum of 5 years successful experience in hospitality or retirement residence management, or comparable health care related field.

Solid understanding of business planning and processes

Exceptional communication and team building skills

Property Management and maintenance knowledge an asset
