Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Food and Beverage Server to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing exceptional guest service, ensuring food safety and sanitation, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided to ensure you succeed in this role. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills in food service, customer care, and upselling within a vibrant dining setting.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, courteous service throughout their visit
Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring proper food handling and sanitation standards
Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation quality
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, serving stations, and work areas in compliance with food safety standards
Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed and support kitchen staff during busy periods
Manage time effectively to ensure timely delivery of orders and efficient table turnover
Address guest inquiries or concerns professionally to ensure satisfaction and repeat business
Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations related to food industry standards

Experience

Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for those new to the industry
Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms is a plus
Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest satisfaction
Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Basic math skills for order entry, billing, and cash handling processes
Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
Experience with upselling menu items to enhance guest experience is advantageous
Hospitality or food industry background preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential
