Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team, responsible for transforming residential, commercial, and industrial spaces through expert painting and decorating techniques. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, restoration, and various painting methods, with a keen eye for detail and quality craftsmanship. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing both traditional and modern tools to deliver exceptional results that meet client specifications and industry standards.

Duties

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using hand tools and power tools with precision
Read blueprints and schematics to accurately execute project specifications for residential, commercial, or industrial spaces
Perform restoration work to refurbish or improve existing surfaces while maintaining structural integrity
Use rigging and scaffolding safely to access high or hard-to-reach areas during large-scale projects
Operate carpentry tools for minor repairs or modifications required before painting
Manage time effectively to complete projects within designated schedules while maintaining high-quality standards
Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure project requirements are understood and met
Maintain a clean work environment, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times

Requirements

Proven experience in construction painting, restoration, or industrial painting environments
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, caulking guns, and other decorating equipment
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
Strong knowledge of residential and commercial painting techniques as well as schematics interpretation
Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members effectively
Good time management skills to handle multiple projects efficiently
Experience with rigging and carpentry is a plus but not mandatory
Knowledge of safety procedures related to working at heights or around heavy equipment is preferred
Customer service orientation with a professional attitude towards client satisfaction

Pay: $36.50 per hour
