We are a specialty butcher shop dedicated to providing the highest quality handcrafted meats tailored to our customers' specifications. Located on the Sunshine Coast, our goal is simple: to be the go-to destination for specialty meats, known for exceptional service, craftsmanship, and community connection.

We are growing — and we’re looking for an experienced, skilled Butcher who takes pride in their trade.

About the Role

As a Butcher at The Butcher, you will:

Cut and prepare a variety of meats to precise customer specifications
Perform whole animal breakdown (where applicable)
Handle and store all products safely in full compliance with food safety regulations
Package meats attractively and professionally for display and sale
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace
Deliver outstanding customer service — answering questions, offering guidance, and building relationships
Collaborate with a fast-moving, high-performing team

This is a hands-on role in a busy, respected specialty shop where quality matters and pride shows.

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience as a butcher or in a similar food industry role
Strong knowledge of meat cutting techniques and food safety practices
Excellent knife skills and attention to detail
Friendly, confident customer service abilities
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Basic kitchen and food preparation knowledge is an asset
Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
