Genwave Technologies; we are a Canadian wireless engineering firm that designs, builds, and supports wireless systems, with a specialty in making wireless work inside buildings. We emphasize that newer “green” building materials often reduce indoor signal performance, while the growing use of smartphones/tablets is driving higher demand, so we are expanding to meet that need.
JOB SUMMARY
The Junior Structural Civil Engineer supports Genwave Technologies’ growing infrastructure projects by assisting in the structural design, analysis, and documentation of wireless communication systems. As a Canadian wireless engineering firm specializing in in-building wireless solutions, Genwave designs, builds, and supports wireless systems for a wide range of commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities. This role contributes to projects that address the growing demand for reliable indoor wireless coverage—driven by the proliferation of smartphones and tablets and compounded by the signal-attenuating effects of modern “green” building materials. The Junior Structural Civil Engineer works closely with RF engineers, project managers, and external stakeholders to ensure that all structural elements of wireless infrastructure are safe, compliant, and fit for purpose.
