Overview

Elev8 Media is a Brampton-based digital marketing and video production agency. We build social presence for real estate developers, law firms, restaurants, construction companies, and professional services brands across the GTA everything from short-form video and paid social to full content strategy.

The Role

We're looking for a Social Media Content Strategist who lives on the internet and can turn what's trending into content that actually performs.

You'll be the person who decides what we should be posting for Elev8's own channels and for our clients. You'll spot trends before they peak, translate them into concepts that fit each brand, write the scripts our video team shoots, and write the copy that goes out with them.

This is a hands-on role. You won't just hand off ideas you'll research them, write them, and see how they perform.

What You'll Do

Research trends daily. Track what's working on Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn audio, formats, hooks, editing styles, posting patterns.
Recommend content directions to our clients. Bring a point of view: here's what's trending, here's how we adapt it for your brand, here's why it'll work.
Write video scripts. Short-form scripts with strong hooks, clear structure, and a reason for the viewer to stay past three seconds.
Write captions and copy. Post captions, hooks, on-screen text, and CTAs matched to each client's voice.
Build content calendars. Plan out what's posting, when, and on which platform for each account.
Work with the video team. Brief editors and videographers clearly so what gets shot matches what you planned.
Track what performed. Review reach, watch time, saves, and shares then adjust the next round based on what the numbers say.
Research competitors and industries. Know what similar brands in real estate, law, food, and construction are doing well.

What We're Looking For

0–2 years of experience in social media, content creation, marketing, or a related field internships, freelance work, agency co-ops, or a personal account you've grown all count
Genuinely plugged into social media trends you can name what's working right now and explain why
Strong writing skills in English, with a feel for how people actually talk on camera
Comfortable doing your own research online and forming an opinion from it
Organized enough to juggle several client accounts at once and hit posting deadlines
Confident presenting ideas to our team and directly to clients
Working knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and LinkedIn as platforms, not just as an audience

Nice to Have

A portfolio, personal account, or client accounts you can show us
Basic editing experience (CapCut, Premiere, Canva)
Familiarity with Meta Ads Manager or paid social
Experience writing for real estate, legal, restaurant, or trades clients
Punjabi or Hindi language skills. a real asset for parts of our client base
