Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Courier Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting goods and freight efficiently and safely across designated routes. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on timely deliveries, excellent driving skills, and the ability to operate various types of equipment. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with potential for growth and skill development in commercial driving and heavy equipment operation.

Duties

Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver freight and packages to clients and warehouses.
Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or hand trucks.
Ensure all deliveries are made on time, maintaining accurate delivery logs and documentation.
Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance to ensure safety standards are met.
Assist with the operation of heavy equipment when necessary, including forklifts or other industrial machinery.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules or issues.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle and delivery area.
Adhere to all safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policies during operations.

Experience

Prior experience in commercial driving or courier services is preferred.
Knowledge of freight handling procedures is advantageous.
Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts is a plus.
Basic automotive repair skills are beneficial for vehicle troubleshooting and maintenance.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping and delivery tracking.

This role requires a dedicated individual capable of managing multiple responsibilities while ensuring safety and efficiency at all times. Candidates with relevant experience in freight handling, heavy equipment operation, or automotive repair will find this position aligns well with their skills and career goals.

Pay: From $180.00 per day
