Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Meat Cutter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, butchery, and food handling, ensuring high-quality meat cuts and excellent customer service. This role involves preparing, cutting, and packaging meat products while adhering to food safety standards. The Meat Cutter will play a vital role in maintaining our reputation for quality and freshness in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to customer specifications and company standards
Ensure all meat products are handled safely and stored properly to maintain freshness
Operate meat cutting tools and equipment safely and efficiently
Package meat products for retail sale or wholesale distribution with attention to presentation and hygiene
Maintain cleanliness of the work area, adhering to food safety regulations
Assist customers with product selection and provide excellent customer service when needed
Follow all food safety protocols and proper sanitation procedures during food handling and preparation

Requirements

Prior experience in the food industry, particularly in butchery or meat cutting is preferred
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
Ability to operate knives, saws, and other meat processing equipment safely
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality in food preparation
Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude
Kitchen experience or background in food preparation is a plus
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety
