Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and talented Barber/Stylist to join our vibrant salon team! In this role, you will deliver exceptional grooming and styling services that leave clients feeling confident and refreshed. Your expertise in hair cutting, styling, coloring, and grooming will help create a welcoming environment where clients look forward to their next visit. Duties

Provide expert haircuts, trims, shaves, and styling services tailored to each client's preferences and facial features
Perform advanced services such as hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and hair threading to enhance client satisfaction
Apply color treatments using sound knowledge of color theory for vibrant or subtle results
Utilize salon software like MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client records, and retail sales tracking
Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by cleaning tools, stations, and work areas in accordance with health regulations
Offer professional advice on hair care routines, product recommendations, and retail sales opportunities to boost client loyalty
Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques and providing constructive feedback to foster skill development

Skills

Proficiency in hair styling techniques including cutting, coloring, and texturing with an understanding of color theory
Experience with salon management systems such as MINDBODY or similar software for bookings and client management
Skilled in performing specialized services like straight razor shaves, eyelash extensions, nail care, makeup application, and hair threading
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with diverse clients
Knowledge of sanitation protocols to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for clients and staff
Ability to upsell retail products confidently while maintaining a genuine focus on client needs
Store management experience or leadership qualities that support team mentoring and front desk responsibilities
Familiarity with retail math for calculating product sales and commissions effectively
