Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Optical Sales Assistant to join our team and provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced optical retail environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for eyewear and healthcare products, with the ability to assist customers in selecting the perfect optical solutions. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in retail sales, optical technology, and healthcare, with potential for professional growth within our organization.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assess their optical needs through active listening and consultation
Assist customers in selecting frames, lenses, and accessories that suit their preferences and prescriptions
Maintain knowledge of current optical products, trends, and technological advancements
Process sales transactions accurately using retail management systems such as Epic
Support inventory management by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and tracking product levels
Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure proper fitting and adjustments of eyewear
Keep the sales area clean, organized, and inviting to enhance the customer experience
Stay informed about medical terminology related to vision care to better assist patients with prescriptions and healthcare needs

Experience

Prior experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required
Laboratory experience or optical experience is a plus, providing familiarity with eyewear fitting and adjustments
Knowledge of medical terminology related to vision care enhances ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers
Experience working with laboratory equipment or optical management software such as Epic is advantageous
Background in retail management or sales demonstrates leadership potential and customer engagement skills

This position is ideal for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in optical sales and healthcare services within a supportive team environment.

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
