Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dependable HVAC Helper to join our team. This entry-level position provides valuable hands-on experience supporting HVAC technicians with installation, maintenance, and repair tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in mechanical systems and construction, with a focus on developing skills in HVAC, plumbing, welding, and appliance repair. This role offers an excellent opportunity to learn industry-specific skills while contributing to the successful completion of various projects in commercial and residential settings.

Duties

Assist HVAC technicians with installation, repair, and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
Support the setup and teardown of HVAC units and related equipment
Help with plumbing connections and basic pipe fitting tasks as needed
Use hand tools and power tools to perform tasks under supervision
Read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams to aid in system assembly and troubleshooting
Assist in welding or fabrication work when required for system modifications or repairs
Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency
Support the handling of boilers, appliances, and mechanical components during service calls
Follow safety protocols at all times during job execution

Requirements

Basic mechanical knowledge or experience in construction, appliance repair, or related fields is preferred
Familiarity with schematics, plumbing, welding, or boiler systems is a plus
Previous experience with HVAC systems or maintenance work is advantageous but not required; training will be provided
Ability to follow instructions carefully and work effectively as part of a team
Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety standards
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and working in confined spaces
Willingness to learn new skills related to HVAC, plumbing, welding, and mechanical systems
