We are looking for a Prepress Technician to process files and impositions for final output to Plates, creating proofs, plate breakdowns and output plates as required.

Shift Schedule: Night shift

Wednesday-Wednesday starting at 6:00pm-6:00am.

7 days on, 7 days off.
Overtime

This position is currently open and reflects a replacement position due to an internal transfer, promotion, or departure.

The range for this position is $38 to $42 per hour, commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity. This range is provided to ensure clarity and promote equitable access to employment opportunities.

Responsibilities:

When your actions lead to success:

Preflight incoming files to ensure they meet production and print specifications
Identify and communicate any file or artwork issues to clients and/or Customer Service Representatives (CSR)
Set up jobs in Prinergy according to workflow requirements
Create press layouts following defined production specifications
Identify zone changes and color breaks to support accurate print output
Output proofs as required for internal review or client approval
Output printing plates as required for production
Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure production readiness
Maintain a healthy and safe work environment and adhere to all safety requirements

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a prepress or print production environment
Strong knowledge of printing presses and finishing equipment (including folders)
Experience with Prinergy workflow, Preps software,
Willingness to learn new workflows (Pecom and EaE)
Solid understanding of prepress processes and production requirements
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
Comfortable lifting plates up to 30lbs
