Position Summary

The Dispatcher is responsible for supporting and monitoring all on-road activities completed by drivers during the shift. Your role involves assigning routes and loads to drivers, monitoring their progress, and ensuring on-time deliveries while responding to unforeseen challenges such as traffic or weather disruptions. Additionally, you will maintain effective communication with drivers, customers, and other departments to streamline logistics and contribute to the efficient and reliable operation of our trucking services.

Location: Mississauga, ON

Schedule: Night Shift, Friday - Monday - 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM

What you will do

Assess and support all driver inquiries, supplying drivers with all needed information and tools for their trip. i.e., trip sheets, access codes for locations, trip numbers, tractor keys
Support senior planner and account coordinator requests, completing all daily add-ons as required
Ensure Trip Sheets are complete and A1 live updates are complete, progressing trips as required
Monitor freight movements and address any delays or discrepancies promptly.
Collaborate with other dispatchers and the management team
Maintain a high level of phone etiquette when interacting with clients and team members.
Sort all inbound driver paperwork to assist Admin Coordinator for payroll
Supply CSR with information needed for customer reports.
Create requests and ensure great communication with the shop regarding all repairs, etc

What You’ll Bring

High school diploma

Along with the following Skills & Competencies:

Capable verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs; Word, Excel, and Outlook
Proven experience in handling multiple priorities
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule and be able to work overtime if the demand arises
