Position Summary

Press Helper will assist the Press Operator in increasing operational and customer satisfaction. In this role the helper is expected to assist modern gearless wide web 8 color Flexographic Press and experience in using solvent-based inks.

This position rotates over 3 shifts, Days (7 am to 3 pm) Afternoons (3 pm to 11 pm) and Nights (11pm to 7 am), 5-days per week, weekends as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

Communicate with the Press Operator about the product specifications
Review job specification such as production time, colour sequence and quantities required.
Prepare ink and solvents for the jobs
Fill ink fountains and take measurements
Remove and clean plates at the end of the press run
Load and unload rolls
Maintain cleanliness of the machine and the work area.

Education & Qualifications:

High school diploma or Certification in Printing
2 years of experience running the Gearless Flexo Press Machine

Skills & Abilities:

Ability to work with team and complete the setup within the allocated time.
Ability to bend and lift up-to 50 lbs
Good Mechanical Aptitude
Good time-management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Possess knowledge in Health & Safety Standards

Vacancy Status: Existing Vacancy

Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time

Shifts: 3-shift rotation (Days 7am-3pm, Afternoons 3pm-11pm, Midnights 11pm-7am)

Compensation: $17.60-$20 CAD per hour

The compensation range listed reflects the expected compensation for the role. Actual compensation will be determined based on individual skills and experience.
