BUILD AND LEAD A TEAM.

We're expanding into Canada, and we're looking for a Director of Business Development to lead that growth — building relationships, building a team, and building VinWorld's presence across one of the largest transportation markets in North America.

THE OPPORTUNITY

VinWorld is a global logistics provider with more than 20 years of experience supporting international transportation, freight forwarding, and supply chain solutions. We've built a strong international logistics network across ocean and air freight, and we're now investing heavily in the growth of our domestic and cross-border transportation divisions — including a major push into the Canadian market.

We're looking for a Director of Business Development who wants more than a leadership title. We're looking for someone who wants to build a market. Someone who can develop new enterprise relationships, build and mentor a commercial team, and shape how VinWorld grows across Canada and cross-border trade with the United States.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Lead and grow VinWorld's business development function across Canada
Develop and execute strategic sales plans across multiple transportation modes: Truckload (FTL), Less-than-Truckload (LTL), Intermodal, Ocean Freight, Air Freight, and Cross-Border Transportation
Identify, pursue, and close relationships with enterprise-level shippers across Canada
Build, mentor, and manage a team of Business Development Representatives and Account Executives
Own revenue targets and pipeline forecasting for the Canadian market
Partner with U.S. leadership to align cross-border growth strategy
Represent VinWorld at industry events, trade shows, and with key strategic accounts
Work directly with operations, carrier procurement, and pricing teams to build winning customer solutions
Report directly to senior leadership on market performance and growth strategy

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

This is a leadership role — we're looking for someone who's already proven they can sell and lead:

7+ years of experience in freight forward, freight brokerage, logistics, or transportation sales, including at least 2–3 years in a sales leadership or management capacity
A proven track record of building and scaling a book of business
Strong understanding of the Canadian transportation market and U.S.–Canada cross-border freight
Experience building, coaching, and managing a business development or sales team
An established network of shipper and/or carrier relationships is a strong plus
An entrepreneurial mindset — comfortable building a market and a team from the ground up
Strong strategic thinker and communicator, equally comfortable in the field and in the boardroom
This is an in-office, (5 days) on-site role
