Job Overview

Join our vibrant team as a Salon Assistant and be the welcoming face that sets the tone for an exceptional client experience! In this energetic role, you will support stylists and front desk staff by providing outstanding customer service, maintaining a clean and sanitized environment, and assisting with client needs. Your enthusiasm and proactive attitude will help create a lively, professional atmosphere where clients feel valued and pampered from the moment they walk through the door. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the beauty industry while developing your skills in customer interaction, hair styling support, and salon operations.

Responsibilities

Greet clients warmly upon arrival, ensuring they feel comfortable and valued from the start
Assist stylists with hair styling preparations, including shampooing, blow-drying, and basic styling tasks under supervision
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the salon to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
Support front desk operations by scheduling appointments, managing client check-ins/check-outs, and answering phone inquiries promptly
Keep the salon organized by restocking supplies, cleaning workstations, and ensuring all areas are tidy at all times
Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate daily tasks and provide excellent customer service

Requirements

Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
Basic knowledge of hair styling techniques or willingness to learn on the job
Ability to maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in a busy environment
Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with clients and team members
Enthusiasm for retail sales and upselling to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
Reliable attendance with the ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
Prior experience in a front desk or customer service role is a plus but not required; training will be provided
