South End Lumber has been proudly serving Brandon and the surrounding communities since 1954. Locally owned and operated, we are a trusted building materials supplier for everything from home renovations to large-scale construction projects. Our retail store offers a wide range of products, including lumber and building materials, windows and doors, roofing and siding, tools and hardware, paint, plumbing supplies, electrical components, and more. We are proud to offer a range of services, including project estimates, window and door installations, siding installations, kitchen and bathroom design, delivery and pickup services, flooring installations, custom saw cutting, and special projects.

At South End Lumber, we are committed to supporting our customers with products they can trust and service they deserve.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Window and Door Installer to install, replace, and service a variety of window and door types. The ideal candidate has experience in carpentry and can work independently, ensuring the job is completed safely, efficiently, and to our standards.

Install windows and doors according to manufacturer guidelines and company standards.
Remove and properly dispose of old windows and doors.
Seal, caulk, and weatherproof installations.
Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
Inspect finished work to ensure proper function and aesthetics.
Professionally communicate with customers.
Maintain a clean and organized job site.
Follow all safety procedures and protocols.
Effectively train and oversee assistants.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Experience in window and door installations.
Experience with flooring installations is considered an asset.
Basic carpentry skills.
Proficient in measuring, cutting, and fitting materials.
Understanding of building codes and safety regulations is an asset.
Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials.
Valid driver's license required.
Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Able to effectively communicate in English.

While you may not have experience in a full-time installation role, candidates with a related construction background and a strong desire to learn will be considered. Training will be provided to successfully set you up for this role.
