Full-time Security Guards

About the Role

Paladin Security is hiring 2 Full-Time Security Officers to join our team at a Large Retail Complex in Brandon, Manitoba.

We are looking for reliable, professional, and customer-service-oriented individuals who take pride in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for members of the public.

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, with 8 hours shifts. Shift start times may vary based on operational requirements.

Schedule & Pay

Location: Brandon, Manitoba
Hours: 40 hours per week
Schedule: 5 days per week
Start Times: May vary depending on site requirements
Starting Pay Rate: $17.50/hour
Status: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

Conduct regular walking patrols throughout designated areas of the retail complex, both indoors and outdoors
Maintain a visible and professional security presence
Monitor the property and identify safety, security, and policy concerns
Provide excellent customer service to shoppers, employees, tenants, and visitors
Enforce site policies and procedures in a professional manner
Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies
Communicate effectively with site personnel and management
Complete accurate and detailed incident and daily activity reports
Follow all site-specific policies, procedures, and post orders
Maintain professionalism and alertness throughout the entire shift

Site Expectations

Successful applicants must be prepared to follow all site policies and procedures, including:

No personal cell phone use while on shift, including earbuds or other personal electronic devices.
Remain attentive and actively engaged in security duties throughout the shift
Follow all instructions and procedures provided during site training
Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times
Complete required documentation and report writing accurately

Requirements

At least 19 years of age
First Aid & CPR Level C certification from a CSA-approved provider
MOAB Certification, or willingness to complete company-sponsored training prior to onboarding
High School Diploma or GED
Conversant and proficient in English, both written and spoken
Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor
Comfortable conducting extended walking patrols, both indoors and outdoors
Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods
Able to work independently and remain alert throughout an 8-hour shift
Able to follow site policies, procedures, and instructions
Legally authorized to work in Canada
Reliable, punctual, and dependable
