About Us
Wagler Construction Inc. is a growing renovation and carpentry company serving Brantford, Cambridge, Paris, Woodstock, and surrounding areas. We specialize in residential renovations, rough and finish carpentry, kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, decks, doors and windows, as well as select commercial and industrial projects.
We are looking for an experienced Red Seal Carpenter who can work independently, lead a crew, and help deliver high-quality projects while representing our company professionally.
Position Overview
This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of projects, coordinate work on site, and lead other crew members under the direction of the owner.
The ideal candidate is a skilled carpenter who can see the big picture, solve problems, communicate well with clients and trades, and maintain productivity without constant supervision.
Responsibilities
- Lead residential renovation projects from start to finish
- Supervise and direct crew members on site
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers
- Read and interpret drawings and project plans
- Complete rough and finish carpentry work
- Maintain quality control and company standards
- Communicate project progress to management
- Ensure job sites remain safe, organized, and professional
- Identify potential issues before they become problems
- Train and mentor junior employees and apprentices
Qualifications
- Red Seal Carpenter Certification (required)
- Minimum 5 years of carpentry and renovation experience
- Valid driver's license
- Experience leading crews and managing job sites
- Strong knowledge of residential construction practices
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience with kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, framing, trim, doors, windows, and general renovations
- Ability to read plans and layouts
- Working at Heights certification (preferred)

Expected Pay: $30.00–$45.00 per hour depending on experience, leadership ability, and qualifications.
